People with ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) may also suffer from ashma, eczema and ear nose and throat problems, which become worse under stress.

The ADD child grows up into the ADD adult who may seem implusive, have a high energy level and need a lot of environmental stimulationj or be lazy, messy, daydreams, poorly organised or poorly motivated. Their impulsive behaviour caqn lead to alcohol, drug or substance abuse in order to self-medicate their own condition. People with ADD and ADHD are very fast and creative thinkers.

The characteristics of ADHD are:

  1. Impulsiveness, shown usually by acting before thinking,
  2. Difficulty in taking turn
  3. Problems with organisation
  4. Constantly changing from one activity to another
  5. Inattention, as shown by not being able to finish tasks started
  6. Easily distracted and difficulty with concentrating on tasks requiring sustained attention
  7. Hyperactivity, shown by the inability to stay seated and to sit still and by running and climbing into things excessively
  8. Often has difficulty coping with change
  9. Can show obsessive behaviours
  10. Are very fast thinkers
  11. Can get bored very easily
